The Upper Merrimack Watershed Association serves as the host and fiscal agent for the Upper Merrimack River Local Advisory Committee.

Turkey River Watershed Restoration and Management Plan is complete

The Upper Merrimack Watershed Association is leading an the effort to implement a restoration and management plan for the Turkey River. In collaboration with teh Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission, the UMWA will be working with Bow, Concord, Dunbarton, and Hopkinton to implement recommendations for infrastructure and environmental improvements and secure funding to support them.

Upper Merrimack Monitoring Program bacteria sampling 2022 is back!

The Upper Merrimack Watershed Association ‘s Upper Merrimack Monitoring program “Bacteria Days” are on after a pandemic hiatus. Citizen scientists from Franklin to Bow are collecting water samples at eleven sites. The samples are tested for E. coli to help gauge river water quality and support public health objectives. Analysis of these samples helps to determine water quality and qualify those data to pinpoint sources of pollution.
